Our refrigerated cells and refrigerated containers meet these requirements: with completely hygienic storage and no temperature deviations throughout the container. Both our ArcticStores and SuperStores are therefore becoming successful in the pharma industry. All our products are built in accordance with GDP standards.

We designed an extra 40' UltraFreezer to maintain the temperature down to -70 °C even during loading.

Many pharmaceutical companies and companies that need an uninterrupted cold chain use our ArcticStores and SuperStores. Thermographic investigations underline the reliability of the cold chain.

SAFE STORAGE WITH DRY ICE

Dry ice begins to vaporize (change from dry ice to gaseous CO2) at temperatures warmer than -78.4°C. For non-degrading storage, the temperature must be at or below these temperatures. TITAN's latest UltraFreezer can maintain these temperatures in moderate ambient temperatures. The durability of the dry ice is also greatly extended at slightly higher levels.

The use of mechanical refrigeration in tanks for dry ice storage poses other issues that users must be aware of. As the dry ice converts to gaseous CO2, the closed container undergoes an atmospheric change, creating a CO2-rich atmosphere.

Further, gaseous CO2 has a much greater volume than dry ice and if stored in an air-tight container an over-pressure can occur with the potential of the container exploding. ArcticStores include floor drains in each corner. If you wish to store dry ice then these drains should be permanently open allowing the gaseous CO2 (that naturally sinks as heavier than air) to exit the container through these drains. The area around the container should be ventilated at ground level to disperse the CO2.

The storage of dry ice needs to take these and other potential hazards like frostbite and ice burn into account and should only ever be performed by experienced personnel with required training and expertise.

There is the potential for real and serious health hazards when storing and handling dry ice. Particularly for anyone entering the container before the entire container is flushed by opening the door for a period of time.

RETAIL, CATERING, BAKERY, PASTRY AND EVENTS - SPECIAL TRANSPORTABLE COLD ROOMS

Supermarkets, hotels, caterer, bakeries, pastry shops and event managers are among our regular customers all year round.

We store everything from fresh food to beer and soft drinks.

Our "One Hand" door is easy to open and close for everyone. Flat, easy-to-clean floors and floor ramps offer ease of use.

The good interior lighting is a great advantage, especially for customers who frequently use the refrigerated container after dark.

Our ArcticStores are equipped with door locks and air curtains. Unless otherwise agreed, specially made ramps are included.

Around 500 liters of beer or soft drinks are cooled to 5°C in less than 1½ hours using the high fan speed.

FRESH AND FROZEN STORAGE OF FRUITS AND VEGETABLES FOR GROWERS AND RETAILERS

Constant ventilation to improve durability and quality is standard on the majority of our containers. Various climate options are also available.

ArcticStores can also be used to remove field heat from fresh produce. 1,000 kg of most fruit types are cooled down to - 25°C within 2 hours.

Use ArcticBlast for quick chilling or blast freezing to freeze all types of fruits and vegetables.

FLOWER AND PLANT STORAGE

Supply of fresh air improves storage conditions for cut flowers and plants. Our containers are also used to delay or speed up the flowering of flower bulbs or other plants. They are also successfully used in tree cultivation and for various types of mushrooms - the low fan speed reduces dehydration of plants.

SEED STORAGE

All plant and grain seeds can also be stored in ArcticStores. If you want to disinfect them, please do not do so in the refrigerated container, because the gases can cause permanent damage to the container and the mechanics.

FRESH AND FROZEN FISH AND SEAFOOD

...another common application. Our containers have airtight drainage pipes and are easy to clean to maintain hygienic conditions in the cold room. Oily fish are often best stored at temperatures of -30/40°C and tuna at -50/60°C. ArcticStores work down to at least -40°C and our Arctic Ultra Freezer is perfect for chilling tuna down to -60°C.

The low fan speed at appropriate cooling temperatures reduces dehydration of unprotected fish during storage.

ArcticStores have 4 hermetically sealed drain pipes, one in each corner, in case you want to store fresh fish on ice.

You can use our ArcticBlast, to freeze or chill all types of harvested and farmed freshwater and saltwater fish.

DAIRY STORAGE - INCLUDING CHEESE, YOGURT, BUTTER AND SOUR DAIRY

Most milk and dairy products can be stored in our containers. Precise temperature control and easy cleaning of the stainless steel interior create the perfect environment for all dairy products and their uninterrupted cold chain.

ICE CREAM, DESSERTS, FROZEN YOGHURT AND OTHER FROZEN DELICACIES

Proper freezing temperatures reduce the risk of quality deterioration or ice crystal build-up for all types of ice cream and ice cream.

Our freezer containers can be set down to -40°C. Most customers consider around -30°C to be the most suitable temperature.

COLD TESTS FOR CARS, TRUCKS AND CAR PARTS

TITAN delivers to car-, aerospace and related industries with cold rooms to test everything from individual components to finished road vehicles.

We have already delivered customized solutions in several countries. The model shown here was designed for a car factory with easy access to drive vehicles in and out of the test facility.

INDUSTRIAL MATERIALS AND PRODUCTS

Modern industrial materials often require storage under optimal temperature conditions. These can be materials such as fibers and binders, but many chemicals also have to be stored within a certain temperature range before use.

ArcticStores operate between -40 °C and +45 °C and for really high temperatures we use our HotStore, which provides a temperature of up to +80 °C.

COLD TESTING AND COLD TESTING OF MATERIALS, COMPONENTS AND PRODUCTS

We continually invest in creating even tougher environmental conditions for cold testing of both individual components and complete products. This is now a completely normal requirement for us.

Our common ArcticStores maintain temperatures at -40°C and are large enough to test an entire car inside.

KILLING BUGS AND OTHER PESTS

As we travel more and more, there also seems to be an increasing trend of unwanted house guests. 48-72 hours in a container at -40°C and they're dead because the core temperature is below their tolerance level. Heat above +45 °C can also be used.

ArcticStores are often used by museums, but also by private individuals to eradicate pests in furniture, clothing, bedding, curtains, carpets, fabrics and even cars.

We sometimes do this at our locations.
