We call this 1-way leasing (also known as 1-way rentals or 1-trip rentals). It’s a great way to keep costs down when transporting goods overseas.
If you’re renting containers from us that will be shipped to one of the countries where we have a base, there’s no need to pay to have them brought back here.
One-way container leasing is an attractive alternative to buying shipping containers in some cases. Why pay for an empty container to be returned to Canada or the US if you don’t have to?

Only pay for your drop-off charge
Wherever you’re transporting to, we won’t charge you a rental fee if we have a facility that your container can be returned to at the other end.
Instead, you’ll only have to pay a drop-off fee.
The amount you pay is based on the country you are transporting to. If it’s a location where the re-use of that container by another client is likely to be quick, the fee will be lower.

How it works: our one-way rentals in detail
1/ Confirm with us that your destination country is part of our one-way leasing network.
2/ Choose your container – 40ft high cubes and 20ft standard shipping containers are popular.
3/ Ask us to quote for a one-way drop-off charge. The fee will be based on the likelihood of the container being swiftly rented again at your destination country. In regions where containers have a fast turnaround, prices are lower.
4/ Once you have confirmed the quote, arrange with your haulage company to collect the container from your nearest TITAN yard. We do not organize the shipping of containers.
5/ Make sure that you arrange delivery of the container to the agreed overseas TITAN facility (or partner center) once it has been unloaded.
What kind of containers work best for one-way leasing?
All our shipping containers in 20ft and 40ft sizes are suitable for use on international cargo vessels. These are all available as one-way rentals.
For maximum efficiency when exporting, clients regularly choose one of our 40-foot high cubes, which are a whole foot taller than standard shipping containers.
We can also match the condition of the container to the goods being transported. Our sea containers are suitable for all classes and categories of cargo, from household goods to industrial equipment.
