1. Prepare a level and stable foundation
Your container must be placed on a stable, level, and firm surface. So you’ll probably need to prepare an appropriate foundation if the container is going to be positioned in your yard or on sand or soil. This can help keep your container level, stop it sinking and prevent corrosion.
2. Clear space for the delivery vehicle
Ensure there are no bushes, branches, wires, or other obstacles in the way of the delivery truck when entering, and also make sure the crane will have clear space for lifting the container to its designated spot. Move any trailers, caravans, cars or similar items if they obstruct the path of the delivery vehicle. If there’s a gate code, you can provide it to us in advance, if you wish, so that we can let ourselves in.
3. Check you have ordered the right truck
It’s important that you give us all the details we request about the delivery site when ordering. We know a thing or two about container delivery and will always offer the best and most affordable option, but we can only be as good as the information we receive. Make sure the delivery vehicle booked is right for the job.
4. Know the max weight for a loaded container
If arranging the pickup of a loaded container, please ensure that the total weight (including household belongings or any other goods inside) does not exceed 2.97 tons. Excess weight could prevent us from lifting it.
5. Pre-empt all problems to keep costs down
Your delivery price includes 30 minutes for the truck/crane to be at your location. If it takes longer to position the container – for example, due to obstacles such as branches blocking the way, or the foundation not being prepared beforehand – we will need to charge an additional fee to cover our costs.
6. Clean before you return
When returning a container after rental, please make sure it’s clean and tidy inside before arranging pickup. Failure to do this may result in delays during collection.
