What shipping container sizes do you have available?
Our shipping containers come in three types: Small Containers which come in at 6ft, 8ft and 10ft and Standard Containers which are 20ft and 40ft shipping containers, both standard and hi-cube (9'6" tall).

Should I buy or rent a shipping container?
When it comes to buying containers, if you're in need of a quick fix to your storage needs - owning a container should be a suitable option for you. The container prices might vary depending on numerous factors. However, hiring a container requires no investment and the market does not pose any risks. The rental rate is agreed upon and it will not change.

How secure is a shipping container?
Our shipping containers have factory-fitted lockboxes to protect the padlocks for added security. Besides that, the containers are wind and watertight. You shouldn't have any security concerns meaning that the containers are suitable for shipping, storage and other applications.

What type of container modifications can be done to the container?
Container modifications are usually done according to customer requirements. The most common container modifications include office and accommodation, built-together containers, split containers with small office and storeroom, repainting, extra doors, internal lighting and similar.

What is the lifetime of a container?
Built in accordance with ISO standards, new shipping containers have a life expectancy of 15-20 years. In a storage environment, it is expected that these containers will last 30 years or more!

What are the container grades?
Container grades are given to containers based on their quality and level of degradation. New 1-trip containers are considered Premium Grade. Aside from them, there are three more types - Grade A, Grade B and Grade C.
PREMIUM QUALITY
Typically containers are "like new" but have been used for storage purposes. Little or no damage and will often feature sensible height door handles and factory lockbox.
GRADE A
Top 10/15% of the used containers we see. Cosmetically as good as used containers come and a container for many years. Normally with low door handles and lockbox will be extra.
Grade B
The most normal quality of used containers. Some are nicer outside than inside or the other way round. Normally with low door handles and lockbox will be extra.
GRADE C
The least attractive 15/20%. Often these are fully functional but the general condition is poor. Normally with low door handles and lockbox will be extra.

Container sizes may vary from one Self Storage site to another but our Storage Containers range in sizes starting from 8ft Containers all the way up to 40ft containers. For more details, refer to the Self Storage site in your city.

What can I expect out of the storage facilities at TITAN sites?
TITAN offers you very flexible self-storage options. Most of our sites offer 24/7 drive-through access. Once you request a quote, we’ll offer you the best solution for your needs in terms of size and price. We are flexible in our terms, prices and offer great security and hassle-free storage. You can always change the size of your storage room or the length of your rental period and we will be there to assist you and answer all your questions.

How secure are the storage facilities at TITAN sites?
We take security very seriously and can ensure that your goods and possessions will be protected and kept safe at all times whilst at one of our sites.
- Heavy-duty padlocks are supplied with the rental
- Majority of our sites have office staff present during office hours
- Most sites are covered by professional CCTV and monitoring services
- Sites also have floodlights or solar lighting added for extra security.

What are the minimum and maximum rental periods you offer?
There’s no maximum rental period and we offer great pricing on long-term rentals. Our minimum rental term is 30 days.

How quickly can I move in?
You can move in on the same working day that you have received a quote from us as long as we have availability. All you need to do is provide us with the required documentation (proof of ID along with proof of address, dated within the last 3 months) and make your first payment to the total of 30 days rental.

What is a reefer?
A "reefer" is an industry term for refrigerated containers. Reefers are mainly used for temperature-controlled storage and they can have various applications.

What are some of the most common applications for reefers?
Reefer containers are usually used in multiple industries and have both food and non-food applications. Some of the most common food applications include Meat, Dairy, Fish, Fruits and Vegetables and non-food including Pharma, Vaccines, and cold testing for technical equipment.

What is a cooling unit?
The cooling or refrigeration unit is the main component of a reefer which powers the refrigeration process. ThermoKing and Daikin are amongst the most well-known companies supplying refrigeration units.

What is the electricity/energy consumption of a freezer container?
Our cold storage containers are equipped with 3-phase refrigeration and have an energy consumption of 380/440V - 50/60Hz and 32A CE plug and power lead. This is widely considered to be amongst the most power-efficient refrigeration solutions.

What is the temperature range in a refrigerated container?
Standard temperature control in Arcticstore containers ranges between -40°C to -65°C and over +45°C with special models. The Arctic Ultrafreezer has a special temperature range from -20°C/-4°F up to -80°C/-112°F.

What capacity does a cold storage container have?
A 20ft reefer has a capacity of approximately 10 euro pallets whilst a 40ft reefer has a capacity of 23 euro pallets.
What kinds of safety features does a refrigerated container have?
Amongst the ones already presented in the photo, here are some of the safety features of our Arcticstore reefers:
- Single hand operation for easy opening and closing
- Sensible door handle height for users. No bending to open and close the doors
- Door operation with the retained ramp (that has low sides) in place
- Lights, alarm, and (on 2020 models) "pause refrigeration" switches immediately to the right
- Sliding air curtains
- Internal door release and/or emergency escape hatch
