When selecting organisations and charitable endeavours to support, the TITAN Impact team is especially drawn to projects that tick off not just one but several of the five key areas we cover.
These are:
- Community development
- Health and wellness
- Education
- Environment
- Sports
So how could we resist the chance to help the under-14s girls’ team at Denmark’s Rudersdal Håndbold club, which brings together players from the towns of Ydun, AB, Brøndby, Ledøje Smørum and Virum?
With sports, community development, health and wellness covered in one fell swoop, it’s little wonder that we have actually been helping the girls for some years.
Our latest involvement was providing new kit: not only did the young players need a shiny white strip for their matches, but they were also looking for fleeces to keep them warm when training during Denmark’s famously chilly winters.
As the picture shows, the girls also got to personalize their kit with their own numbers – just like their handballing heroes in the Denmark women’s squad, one of the world’s top teams.
WHY WE CHOSE TO SUPPORT THIS PROJECT
This project ticks so many boxes for us: young female players, a fantastic sport that is growing in popularity, and players from different local areas. TITAN Impact is all about forging communities and driving positive change, and Rudersdal Håndbold embodies exactly that.
